I am thankful … what are you thankful for this ThanksGiving Weekend.

Very grateful for everyone and everything that I have done this year. For the ones that I am grateful for – you know who you are and for the things I have done well you probably have heard about them.

Highlights of why I am thankful this year…

1.) CHURCH my style with Kim Flanagan of www.kimflanagan.com, Jason Krell of www.jasonkrell.ca & Danielle LaPorte of www.whitehottruth.com – indeed this was a great re-evaluation of which chair inspires me to write and I haven’t been for the past three years. It seems my life has been an open book to one too many and I am glad that I get to share that experience and inspire a lot of you who believes in me, believing in you. ( yes I got a new chair and now back to some serious @mydomingo style writing – #woot)
2.) Plus size styling and on-going fashion show featuring sizes double 00 – 16 – size is not the style and you are going to get sick of me but I will never stop believing on the truth that today if you are a size then dress like you are a size eight and not any size bigger or smaller – gawd knows you are hurting if those pants are too tight.

3.) When the body says no! And when it did I listened, no more hives no more sickness that comes in and out of the blue. The power of your mind can transform you from good to great.

These three are the main key things why today on a Sunday morning I am sitting at a starbucks writing to you.

Grateful for what for what had happened and looking forward to what is next.

Always remember, as YSL said, Fashion Fade, Style is Eternal – yes there is no S on Fade YSL and I are ESL?

twice the S.W.A.P.ing – R to the power of 3 – resuse reduce recycle

TGIF! had a great pleasure to be an ambassador in my own right to reduce reuse and recycle – R to the power of 3. This weekend is the annual Calgary’s National Swap Day - its a swaping love and fun for kids custome ‘gently’ used new or old – so passed on and be there with your kids to pick out customes for this coming halloween. Canada Day + Red and White Please | patriotism with style!

So in the next couple of days I see everyone sporting a red and white ensemble! Well what got me inspired are some blogs i.e. Rachel Zoe Reports 10 Pieces to wear on July 4th. Though showing patrotism is great that way I just don’t think I am in to the actual wearing of the flag – this I find taking it to the next level. So for you Canada Day lovers out there my version of this is simple. Keep it to minimum with style and flare. ONE THING and ONE THING only!

1.) Color Block RED and WHITE

I thought wearing the Canadian flag fashionably and be more fun to wear the blocking style I’d like to see you in strutting that day wearing this:

Calgary Stampede Fashion

In less than two weeks Calgary Stampede – a celebration and a custom for Calgarians will be parading on its first day on the 8th July 2011. This weeklong event promotes tourism for the city and an attraction indeed for men women and every one in between to dress up like cowtown natives!

These are my top three fave must haves for this week long celebration:
1.) Beaver felt cowboi hat – nothing says like an extravagant purchase that will last you for a long time – I have mine since I moved here in the city about six years ago and it still looks FAB!
2.) Plaid shirts – OMG everyone can pull off plaid shirts especially when you are sorrounded by everyone wearing the same thing! seize this opportunity
3.) waist coat – you got it no cowboy boots here dont limit yourself to wearing only one pair of shoes for the whole week – remembe we sweat about a cup a day just down there where your hiding your feet with those shoes so wearing one for an entire week is… do I need to say more? proper fitted waist coats are hot plus you can wear them after the week of drinking and partying knowing you have not wrecked it…

Please remember that for this time Calgary stampede is a custom and not a custome party…

MutchClutch is back!

OMG!!!

For the past years since I have been sporting the ‘mutchclutch’ from Lincoln Heather of Fiveleft.ca , everyone has been asking how adorb this item was! I was very fortunate as I have spotted Lincoln for the first time at a show at the Big Four Building in Calgary. I knew that this butch clutch as I call it ‘even though I gay everything up’ would be a hit!

 

I have been sporting this mutch clutch for sometime now and I was really sad when it was discontinued – as a true shopper and lover of fashion I always thought that everyone can wear the same fashion but will always be different in style and execution. You see even if you wear the same exact mutch clutch as I do it wont matter – you’d probably look hottER!
